A journey into learning

This is part two of my series of reflections on how I reached the point where I realized that staying in my current job would be more damaging than leaving.

Reason 2: I don’t like the teacher I have become

As many of you have probably heard, after almost three years in the UAE, we will be leaving in 59 days’ time.

I have tried to summarise my reasons for this decision in a variety of aborted attempts at a blog post but it just didn’t work. In an attempt to speed things up and get back into regular writing I decided to dedicate one blogpost a day this week to this topic. There are a lot more than five reasons for this decision, most of which are political or personal. I’m very happy to discuss these as well but in these five installments I will concentrate on the professional reasons.
